Notes:The present study, titled “Investigating the Role of Mass Media (with Emphasis on Television) in Children’s Role Modeling and Behavior,” attempts to examine the positive effects and negative consequences of children’s dependence on television. Television and the time conditions and types of topics that children are interested in, according to their age and gender, as well as their mental abilities, have been examined. Chapter four deals with how and to what extent children learn from this medium and the factors affecting this. The fifth chapter of the research analyzes and examines the psychological, mental, and physical effects of television on children, and finally, the sixth chapter focuses on the new media “Internet” and its relationship with the issue of children’s learning and role models, and the types of dangers that this media poses to children.
