Abstract:

Persian Hod-Hod TV channel aims to introduce children to religion and the beliefs of Shi’ites in the production of religious programs. Therefore, this research seeks to answer two main questions: first, what are the religious themes which are presented to children on Hod-Hod Tv channel? Second, Are the presented themes consistent with the growth and understanding of children? In this study, the method of analyzing qualitative content was used. For this purpose, the categorization based on the classification of Dr. Bahonar from religious education was the basis for research and the religious themes presented below were classified into each of these categories. To answer the second question of the study, it was necessary to understand the child’s understanding in order to accommodate the religious themes that were presented. Thus, first, the growth process of the child’s audience was based on the growth psychology, and then, by reviewing the impact of the media on the respondent’s approach to receiving , this theory was investigated as a theoretical framework of the media and the religious themes expressed in the programs of this television channel were adapted to the child’s understanding. According to the study, this channel has a special emphasis on the issue of religious orders. Since this category is objective and the child understands objectives well, it is suitable and it makes the sender of the media message to not be mentally distant with recipient and the child will make the same impression as the sender wants to. Hod-Hod’s channel approach to expressing morality is the expression of virtues in a concrete way, using the stories and objective examples, and has used less foreboding. The use of an indirect expression approach in expressing the moral content is considered as the achievements of this network. The network has used storytelling and programs, which is one of the successful templates for the expression of children’s themes, and used the stories of prophets, imams and religious people. Of course it should be stated that expressing of stories which contain divine force major, should be prevented so as not to distort the merciful divine image, that has been used in the programs of this channel. It should be noted that the negligence of the policymakers of this channel is in the discussion of the expression of social content, which has worked poorly in this regard, and has paid less attention to this. These themes are essential for the social networking of Muslims so that the child learns from this childhood with the religious code space.
